Updating your headphones

The OV Loop app will check for updates upon opening and connecting to your headphones. The download icon will appear if an update is available. The update will begin automatically and start downloading to your device. This step can take between 45 minutes and 1hr 30 minutes and progress is indicated by the circle in the download icon. In this stage, you can still use your headphones normally while the update gets ready in the background. We support “Over The Air updates” distributed through the app

  • Download the latest App from the App Store
  • Once the app is updated to the latest version, connect the OV Pro with the App. (Click “Pair OV Devices” button on the side menu of the App to connect if not automatically done)
  • Once the OV Pro is connected, the App will show a connection status bar for the headphones. If (Over The Air) OTA is available on the headphones, it will have an “UPDATE” button at the status bar.
  • Click on the “Update” button will bring user to the page to start the OTA update
  • The OTA of the FW push from the App to the OV pro takes about 45 minutes on Android, and 1hr and 30 mins on iOS depending upon network connectivity
    • If user disconnect OV pro with the App during this step, next time they reconnect and click on Update on the status bar, they will bring to the update page to ask them to continue
  • NOTE: The User need to make sure the OV Pro is connected to the charger with power before they click continue to update the firmware once downloaded
  • Once the charger is connected to the OV Pro when click continue, it takes about 1 – 2 minutes for the OV pro to apply the new FW and restart the headphones. The App will show update success page if that finish correctly
  • Once the headphones restarts and reconnects to the App, user can go to “Side menu” -> Setting ->Manage Devices page to check the FW version to make sure it is the one mention in the App release note
